AN/AQS-20 deploy and receive systems ordered
Raytheon will supply deploy and retrieve systems in support of the US Navy’s AN/AQS-20 programme under an $11.7 million contract announced on 6 August.
The equipment will deploy, tow and retrieve the AN/AQS-20 sonar in support of mine hunting operations.
The AN/AQS-20 is an advanced mine hunting sonar for the navy’s Littoral Combat Ship Mine Countermeasures Mission package.
The systems will be delivered by October 2020.
