Kongsberg receives CROWS contract
Kongsberg has received a contract from the US Army for production, system support and technical engineering support for the family of CROWS remote weapon stations, the company announced on 14 September.
The $498 million IDIQ frame contract extends over a five-year period. This is the third five-year contract with the US Army for the M151 and M153 CROWS. Additional technology development under this contract will include advanced control systems, expansion of on-going anti-tank guided missile integration, air-defence missile-integration, non-lethal effectors as well as new weapons, including 30mm XM 914.
