FAMAE completes Tralcan test firing
FAMAE conducted a final test-firing of its Tralcan 70mm MLRS in October, the Chilean state-run defence company announced on 6 November.
The rocket system has also undergone further internal vibration tests, both as an empty launcher and fully loaded.
FAMAE intends to have an operational system ready by Q2 2021 for installation aboard an unspecified vehicle, to be showcased both domestically to Chilean defence forces and internationally.
Tralcon includes 20 tubes and FAMAE claimed it can be installed on any military combat vehicle, either tracked or wheeled. The MLRS is compatible with the Nekulpan fire control system (also developed by FAMAE).
