Eurosatory 2018: Finnish land modernisation rolls on

Sharing a border of over 1,300km with Russia - as well as a turbulent history - Finland is once again finding itself in a precarious position as the Moscow government adopts increasingly bellicose rhetoric towards the West.

Today's security situation is somewhat reminiscent of the Cold War, when Finland was dwarfed by its Soviet neighbour and adopted a neutral stance towards the USSR, but at the same time ensured that it maintained good relations with the west.
