PointShield PDDS for Dutch MoD
DSIT received an order from the Dutch Ministry of Defence in October to supply its PointShield portable diver detection sonar (PDDS) system.
The PointShield PDDS is an automatic underwater security system used to protect ships and fixed critical coastal and offshore sites from underwater intrusion and sabotage. The system automatically detects, tracks and classifies all types of underwater threats.
Gadi Leibovich, president and CEO, DSIT, said: ‘The PointShield system provides navies with rapid deployment, automatic detection of all types of threats, high reliability and real time continuous monitoring all at competitive prices and is tailored to specific user demands.’
