Azerbaijan receives border patrol ship
The Azerbaijani Coast Guard recently received its third Tufan-class (Saar 82) patrol ship, designed by Israel Shipyards and built at the Türkan shipbuilding and maintenance base near the capital Baku.
The new ship with hull number S-203 joined two examples already in operation. At the same time the ceremony, attended by Azerbaijani President Ilhan Aliev, saw laying down the fourth ship of the series.
The first Tufan-class ship was commissioned in September 2015 and the second one followed suite in June 2016.
