Additional Trackfire RWS for Swedish navy
Saab will equip the Royal Swedish Navy’s new Combat Boat 90 with its Trackfire Remote Weapon Station (RWS) under an order received from the Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV), the company announced on 26 February.
The new Combat Boat 90 will be operated by the Swedish navy’s amphibian forces.
The order is in addition to a Trackfire RWS order received by Saab from the FMV in August 2017.
Trackfire RWS is a flexible system that combines sensors, weapons and integration options for different platforms in the naval and land domains. The system features fire control computer, video tracking module, recoil buffer and stabilisation technology.
