AOC 2019: New tools for US Army’s electromagnetic overhaul

It is one year since the US Army performed its first electronic attack on European soil since the end of the Cold War, with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment conducting a jamming mission during Exercise Sabre Strike held in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. 

This event marked an important step forward in US Army EW enhancements which received added impetus after Russia’s involvement in Ukraine’s civil war and subsequent annexation of the Crimea peninsula in 2014. During this conflict, the Russian Army demonstrated its EW prowess.
