US government shutdown to hamper DoD acquisitions
The Pentagon's acquisition efforts on some top priority issues will be in a holding pattern while US lawmakers struggle to craft a deal to reopen the government.
On 19 January lawmakers worked into the night to cobble together a compromise that would keep the government open while also addressing hot button topics like immigration and security along the southern US border.
However, by midnight no deal had been put in place and the government officially shut down.
As of 22 January, lawmakers had yet to reach a deal and nonessential government employees will be staying home until they do. For
