PREMIUM: Lockheed Martin confirms Texan storm caused F-35 production closure

The main F-35 production line was forced to close for a day to ensure employee safety, as Lockheed Martin continues to wait for the US DoD to approve full-rate production for the aircraft.

Lockheed Martin has revealed it closed F-35 production facilities in Fort Worth, Texas on 17 February, citing employee safety.

The decision was taken after Storm Uri caused power outages across Texas and covered roads in black ice.
