Leonardo facing up to Kuwaiti Typhoon turbulence
An order from Kuwait for a fleet of 28 Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 3A fighter jets has suffered from COVID-19 economic complications and left Leonardo to admit that short-term cash flow ‘slippages’ are now expected on the programme.
A first delivery of the multirole aircraft had originally been scheduled for 2020 but despite that target not being confirmed during a 30 July half year company financial results presentation, cash flow delays were suggested by Alessandra Genco, CFO at Leonardo.
