CEVS to provide night-vision cueing displays for USN and FMS customers
Collins Elbit Vision Systems (CEVS), which is a JV between Raytheon Technologies subsidiary Collins Aerospace and Elbit Systems of America, is to produce 60 Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) Night Vision Cueing Displays (NVCDs) for the USN and FMS customers.
Under a $12.91 million contract from the US Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, the JV will also provide 60 JHMCS night display adapters and 30 JHMCS helmet-mounted display test sets (HMDTS) for the USN.
Canada, Kuwait and Malaysia will receive 16, five and two JHMCS HMDTS respectively.
In addition, CEVS will provide two Hoffman adapter kits for Australia and one kit for Switzerland.
The deal also includes new and modified associated support equipment, interim repairs, non-recurring engineering, testing, technical data ‘and all other supplies and services necessary to perform installation and testing of NVCD systems that are fully compatible with the F/A-18 series and EA-18G JHMCS’, the DoD stated on 14 August.
CEVS will complete work on the contract by July 2022.
