UK outlines future SATCOM vision
The UK MoD has described how implementing its next-generation capability strategy for satellite communications (SATCOM) will be affected by difficult budget restrictions.
Addressing the Global MilSatCom conference in London on 5 November, Air Cdr Chris Jones, head of capability C4ISR at the Joint Forces Command, told delegates: ‘Information is under pressure to deliver more capability under a difficult financial climate.’
Along with other senior officers they drew attention to the increasing demands on technology over the next decade whilst recognising the current financial environment as an important factor in development.
