UK to underwrite unmanned marine science programmes post-Brexit

The UK’s National Oceanography Centre (NOC) has said that any ongoing robotics projects it has with European partners will be underwritten by the UK government should Brexit result in access to key programmes or funding being brought to a halt.

The centre is working on a number of programmes at present, including one designed to improve European capabilities in the use of UVs for marine science purposes.
