UK sheds light on Taranis
The UK MoD and BAE Systems have finally shed some light on the secretive Taranis UCAV demonstrator test programme, although the development remains highly classified.
Addressing the media at the Royal Engineering Society on 5 February, senior officials from the MoD and BAE Systems described how the demonstrator remains ‘under test’ although nobody was able to comment on the test location, which is understood to be in Woomera, Australia.
