Starter underway as Harris wins EOD contract

In the modern military environment that land forces find themselves operating in automation and the use of unmanned platforms continues to play a vital role in protecting troops.

It is rare now that land forces don’t operate at least one or several dedicated unmanned platforms in the counter-IED and EOD role and indeed such systems have proliferated to now become standard practice.

To this end, the MoD looks to have made a move to secure the terrain for its forces in future areas of operations with a recent contract award to Harris for an undisclosed number of EOD robots valued
