Roke to demonstrate Autoland to Royal Navy

The UK Royal Navy will evaluate self-landing UAVs following this year’s Unmanned Warrior exercise as Roke Manor demonstrates its Autoland technology.

According to the company the Royal Navy is a prospective customer for the technology as unmanned systems are central to the navy’s medium term strategy. The Unmanned Warrior exercise will take place in October 2016.

Roke Manor, alongside ASV who provide the unmanned boats and control expertise, has been developing the mathematical algorithms for Autoland for the past eight years.
