UMS Skeldar officially axes R-350 UAV
Less than a year after it decided to reassess the future of the R-350 rotary-wing UAV, UMS Skeldar has confirmed the platform has been retired, citing sustainability issues.
The manufacturer had admitted at Dubai Air Show 2019 that the programme lagged behind customer demand for the V-200 and was ‘set to evolve into something else’ but no further details were released about such plans.
At the time, UMS Skeldar also confirmed to Shephard that it had a number of R-350 customers which it would continue to support.
Those efforts now look to have been scrapped or at least severely damaged
