MSPO 2018: WZE launch Lanca 2.0 UAV neutraliser
Polish electronics manufacturer Wojskowe Zakłady Elektroniczne (WZE) is showcasing its handheld, counter-UAS platform, the Lanca 2.0, at this year's MSPO.
The system is designed to force UAVs into emergency landings by cutting off their GPS satellite connection across a wide spectrum of operating frequencies from .04GHz-5.8GHz.
Providing a maximum range of 1km and a payload of 9kg, Lanca is being marketed as both a military and commercial solution.
WZE are still taking an open-ended approach to the system's development and are prepared to make further changes, should they see fit, a spokesperson, explained to Shephard.
