FIDAE 2016: Tucan soars into Chile

Spanish aerospace and defence group Everis is displaying its Tucan unmanned aerial system for the first time at the FIDAE airshow in Santiago, Chile.

Developed by the Sistemas de Control Remoto (SCR) arm of the Everis group, the 4.5kg Tucan features a small EO/IR camera and can be used for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions.

Everis engineer Adrian Jimenez Gonzalez told Shephard that the UAV can be hand launched and its small size allows it to fit inside a soldier’s rucksack.
