Euronaval 2016: Unmanned MCM focus for ECA Group

Development is continuing on ECA Group's series of unmanned mine countermeasure (MCM) vessels, as senior officials say that such capabilities can be obtained and operated at a far lower price compared to manned alternatives.

The company have made a series of announcements ahead of the start of Euronaval 2016, due to take place at Le Bourget in Paris from 17-21 October.

This includes the recent addition of two modules its unmanned MCM information system (UMIS) mission and data management solution, specifically concerning mine management and automatic target recognition (ATR).
