China aims UAVs at markets home and abroad
The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) continues to test innovative Chinese-built UAVs, while unmanned platforms are also being aimed squarely at international customers. Indeed, Nigeria is the latest country to confirm a repeat order of Chinese UAVs.
China continues to experiment with swarms of UAVs that could be used as loitering munitions. A subsidiary of the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) conducted a test last month using 48 UAVs similar to the CH-901, these being carried in a launch array mounted on the back of a Mengshi 6x6 vehicle.
The test also involved launching the same UAV from the tailboom
