AUVSI: USN TIER 2 / STUAS will see only one contract awarded
The United States Navy's PMA-263 program office overseeing the joint navy-Marine Corps Tier 2 / STUAS competition says that it will not be looking at a split award with planning remaining focussed on a single contractor down select in the current quarter.
STUAS deputy program director Michael Shutty says that “only one winner will be chosen.”
Shutty was speaking at the US Naval Air Systems Command’s unmanned systems demonstration at Webster Field in Maryland on 10 August.
Industry speculation about possible program direction has talked up the split down select concept following demonstrations of four contenders at the US Army
