AUVSI 2019: GM fuelling army vehicles
General Motors (GM) is pushing hard on electrification for autonomous vehicles and the company’s defence division is continuing its research into alternative fuel cell technology to support the warfighter through electric vehicles.
At the Xponential keynote address, David Albritton, president at GM defence, told delegates: ‘GM strategy puts customers' needs first with a two-pronged approach to electrification, battery, electric and fuel cell electric.
‘GM has work on fuel cells since their inception more than 50 years ago and today we're one of the patent leaders in the field we are making advancements that have great potential for many definitely applications
