AUVSI 2017: Chinese robotics investment grows

Wireless power and battery systems developer WiBotic has become the latest company to benefit from Chinese investment as the country looks to expand its interests in commercial unmanned technologies.

Announcing the deal in April WiBotic said that it had raised $2.5 million in a seed investment round, led Tsing Capital, which is the venture capital arm of Tsinghua Holdings. Other investors into WiBotics include Comet Labs, Digi Labs, W Fund, WRF Capital and Wisemont Capital.
