AUVSI 2015: Software boost for CorvusEye could open new markets

Improvements to the CorvusEye 1500 wide-area airborne system would open up potential new markets in the commercial and civil sectors, according to Exelis officials attending the AUVSI conference in Atlanta.

Dwight Greenlee, regional director of Persistent Surveillance Geospatial Systems, said that an unnamed European customer had enquired about the system for use in crowd monitoring and control at an upcoming event. Other potential uses for the system, which is light enough to be fitted to manned or unmanned aircraft, included disaster relief, he said.
