Aero Surveillance unveils ASV100 VTOL UAS
Aero Surveillance has introduced a new vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAS called the ASV 100 at the International Airborne Maritime Surveillance Exhibition (SIAM) in Le Castellet, France.
The ASV 100 is a small tactical unmanned helicopter capable of carrying an integrated modular payload of 20kg for missions of up to three hours in duration. In its standard configuration, the system includes two aircraft, two ruggedised ARDENT mission systems and a transportable ground control station, TGS-100.
The ARDENT mission payload includes a dual sensor gyro-stabilized gimbal, a ruggedised mission computer, a precision Attitude Heading and Reference System and a line of sight data transmission unit.
The standard sensor suite will include a gyro-stabilised electro-optical turret, a multi-processor system with on board image and signal processing, large data storage and a combination of satellite and Line Of Sight transmission capabilities. The ARDENT system and software suite from Aero Surveillance is based on Open Standards and can be customised with new or additional sensors. Radar and SIGINT options will be made available in the near future.
