USSOCOM is seeking industry collaboration in the modernization of its aviation maintenance capabilities.

Interest in a possible collaborative effort was outlined in a 10 April announcement by Headquarters USSOCOM Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Program Executive Office – Rotary Wing (PEO-RW).

According to the announcement, USSOCOM aviation maintenance leaders ‘have seen recent examples of industry trends in applying virtual reality/augmented reality/on-demand video technology to the aviation operational maintenance process'.

USSOCOM said these technologies ‘promise to increase efficiency and effectiveness of unit maintenance personnel over current aviation maintenance practices'.

A planned Government/Industry Collaboration Event focused on aviation maintenance modernization will be held
