SOCOM points to cyber challenges

The US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) must become more efficient at equipping its personnel with Cyber Warfare technology, Commander Gen Raymond A Thomas III proclaimed last week. 

Addressing delegates at an Association of the US Army (AUSA) event in Arlington, Virginia on 13 December, Gen Thomas described Cyber Warfare as a ‘challenge’, warning how USSOCOM must mitigate its vulnerabilities while ‘…building dominating offensive capabilities [in order to] keep pace with our rapidly adapting joint force’. 

‘Our adversaries are moving out aggressively and boldly. We need to keep pace,’ he urged.
