UPDATED: Romania orders Polaris DAGOR special operations vehicles
Polaris has been awarded a contract to provide 50 of its DAGOR ultralight tactical vehicles to Romania, joining other NATO countries such as Canada, the UK and US as operators.
The AK-47 is an iconic rifle that has shaped warfare for several decades, being utilised on most battlefields by militaries and non-state groups.
Now, Kalashnikov USA is looking to bring the rifle into 21st century with an updated design it is calling the AK Alpha.
On display at this year's SHOT Show in Las Vegas was a prototype of the new rifle, which is slated to be introduced next year.
Owing to sanctions against Russia, Kalashnikov USA now manufactures all of its products in the US and does not import from abroad. A production facility is now up and running
