NSW looks to close quarters combat

The US Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) has released a solicitation to enhance the close quarter combat (CQC) capabilities of operators in the area of mixed martial arts (MMA).

According to documents published on 20th August 2018 by the Federal Business Opportunities website, NSWC is seeking industry support to train operators from across the command in a series of MMA specialisms capable of being adapted to support CQC.

The selected vendor is expected to train operators from Navy SEAL Teams and other force elements in the “fundamentals of combative training” including “survival tactics and principles integrated into a comprehensive,
