New vehicles on display in Bahrain
The Bahrain Royal Guard Special Forces has unveiled a new 4x4 long-range patrol vehicle, based on the Toyota Land Cruiser chassis and assembled in-country.
Shown at the BIDEC exhibition in Bahrain earlier this month, the Theeb 4x4 vehicle features armoured sliding doors made of B6 17mm thick polyethylene panels, providing protection against 7.62mm small arms fire.
There is additional armour at the rear of the vehicle.
The Theeb can carry a total of five military personnel plus driver and commander. It is equipped with a NIMER ring mount for an M2 .50 caliber machine gun, manufactured in Oman by
