The Danish Defence Agreement 2018-2023, published on 1st February 2018, has outlined a series of future plans to upgrade the capabilities of the country’s special operations forces.
The document, which was finalized after months of deliberation by the Danish administration and armed forces, is designed to “enforce the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Denmark and ensure the continued existence, integrity and security of the nation.”
“With this agreement the [administration] agrees to give the armed forces a substantial increase that will be phased in gradually and lead to a strengthening of the armed forces” annual budget by a 20% increase
