Russian Coast Guard enhances patrol boat fleet
The Russian Coast Guard plans to significantly strengthen security of the national water boundaries through the purchase of the latest variant of high-speed Raptor boats.
Deliveries of the Raptors are set to begin in Spring this year.The contract for the new boats was signed the end of 2017 and the value is estimated at about US$190 million.
From the original Raptor boats the new version has improved armament and combat capabilities, can reach speeds of more than 80 km/h and can operate in all weather conditions.
