Report warns of increased piracy in Asia
Maritime intelligence experts have issued a warning forecasting that piracy incidents in South East Asia are set to grow.
Dryad Maritime’s report for the third quarter of 2014 records increases in the number of attacks in the area of Singapore and to the east of the Singapore Straits.
In the latter area, eight vessels were boarded while at anchor over the last quarter, taking the total of similar incidents in the area to 30 so far in 2014. This compares to just nine incidents in the area during the same period in 2013. One of the major targets is
