Raytheon to supply JSOWs to Qatar
Raytheon Missile Systems has received a $172.8 million contract from the US Department of Defense to provide AGM-154C Block III Joint Standoff Weapons (JSOW) to the government of Qatar.
The contract will see Raytheon supply 200 AGM-154C Block III JSOW, 212 containers, various component parts and support equipment for spares, and engineering and technical support.
JSOW is a family of air-to-ground weapons that employ an integrated GPS-inertial navigation system and thermal imaging infrared seeker. The weapon is designed to provide fleet forces with the capability and flexibility to engage moving maritime targets, while retaining robust capability against stationary land targets.
Work is expected to be completed in June 2020.
