USN selects Elbit for V-22 component repair
Elbit Systems announced on 5 October that its US subsidiary has received a contract from US Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), for repair of line-replaceable units in support of the V-22 aircraft.
The five-year deal for Elbit Systems of America is worth $35 million.
Repairs will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas and Talladega, Alabama.
Elbit announced the contract at a time when the Israeli government has resumed FMS negotiations with the US to acquire V-22s. Israel is interested in buying 12 of the aircraft, which are manufactured by Bell Boeing.
