FLIR completes investment in DroneBase
FLIR Systems has made a strategic investment in DroneBase to offer its thermal product solutions to DroneBase customers, the company announced on 10 April.
DroneBase is a UAS operator that provides businesses access to its UAS pilot network. DroneBase provides services in more than 70 countries across multiple industries, such as residential and commercial real estate, insurance, telecommunications, construction and media.
The investment establishes FLIR as the exclusive provider of thermal technology for DroneBase’s inspection services and a thermal imaging training partner for its enterprise pilot network. FLIR and DroneBase will collaborate to develop specialised training for DroneBase pilots through the FLIR Infrared Training Center, creating an exclusive pilot network through a DroneBase certification process.
