Commercial UAV Expo 2018: Drones embody Trump White House aims

While the keynote speeches at this year’s Commercial UAV Expo in Las Vegas did not reveal any ground breaking developments in the commercial drone industry it did highlight the US government’s priorities for new emerging technologies.

Within the wider objectives of the White House the promotion of emerging technologies such as UAS is high on the Trump administration’s priorities.

‘UAS is the best example to exemplify what we are trying to accomplish,’ said Michael Kratsios, deputy assistant to the president and deputy US CTO at the White House.

These accomplishments include economic growth, national security and government reform.
