​AUVSI 2018: Kittyhawk and Jeppesen moving fast to digital airspace integration

Further to FAA approval, Kittyhawk and Jeppesen have announced that they are collaborating on a project to integrate digital airspace authorisation, the low altitude authorisation and notification capability, directly from the authority into Kittyhawk’s platform.

This year, the FAA will release more than 2,000 square miles of new airspace for UAS to enable operations in urbanised areas as well as in proximity to airports.

California-based Kittyhawk specialise in enterprise drone operations and Jeppesen operates in transformative information and optimisation solutions. Discussions between the two parties began in January and have already transitioned to a formal announcement, displaying a pace
