AUVSI 2017: Valmie ventures into the unmanned

US company Valmie Resources will be rolling out a new aircraft at AUVSI Xponential after conducting flight tests in Nevada at the beginning of May 2017.

The new aircraft tested is one of five commercial base units that Valmie purchased from ALTI UAS, the Transition UAV. The recent test flights were held in conjunction with Praxis Aerospace Concepts.

The Transition UAV was launched by ALTI in 2016 and has been proven with confirmed flight performance and endurance of up to seven hours with a 500km range per flight. It also features a fixed wing system with vertical take off and
