Verus Technology Group has received an order from the US Special Operations Command for its next-generation SkyView-Mobile Platform (MP) counter-UAS (C-UAS) system, the company announced on 4 January.
SkyView-MP is a small, lightweight, system that provides 360° detection and tracking of small UAS. The system can be powered via MILSPEC battery, shore power or vehicle power, and can use a quickly deployable magnetic mount to transition the antenna to a vehicle/mobile application.
The water-resistant system weighs less than 12lbs and can operate for approximately 16 hours on a single battery.
Deliveries under the order have already begun.
