Venezuela activates new Special Operations Command

The Venezuelan Armed Forces (FANB) formally activated a new Special Operations Command in Maracay, Aragua State on 17 August.

The new Special Operations Command is a ‘revolutionary concept’, which has been conceived by the Strategic Operational Command of the FANB, according to Gen Vladimir Padrino López, Venezuela’s Minister of Defence.
