UPDATED: Romania orders Polaris DAGOR special operations vehicles
Polaris has been awarded a contract to provide 50 of its DAGOR ultralight tactical vehicles to Romania, joining other NATO countries such as Canada, the UK and US as operators.
Having tested its Special Purpose All Terrain Vehicle (S-ATV) in an unnamed Middle Eastern country, Oshkosh is now showcasing the vehicle to the international market for the first time at SOFEX 2018.
The vehicle on show is a technology demonstrator and to-date only one has been manufactured after the company lost out on the Ground Mobility Vehicles 1.1 for the US Special Forces Command (USSOCOM) to General Dynamics.
