Rheinmetall has delivered its Survivor R special operations vehicle to the Berlin Police Department, the company announced on 16 November.
The vehicle was ordered in September 2017 as part of a counter-terrorism package. It has been configured to meet the needs of the Operations Directorate of the Berlin Police.
The Survivor R, developed in cooperation with Austrian special vehicle maker Achleitner, is based on a high-performance 4x4 MAN truck chassis, outfitted with a steel armour passenger compartment. Capable of reaching a top speed of over 100km/h, the vehicle is designed for high-risk situations when special operators need to be transported safely to the area of operations or for evacuating persons from the danger zone.
Polaris Government and Defense has launched the Military 850 TITAN 155 snowmobile ahead of SOF Week 2025. Designed for immediate deployment in cold-weather environments, the platform will enter trials with special operations forces by year-end, targeting NATO’s northern and eastern European members.
