French SOF awaits next VPS 2 batch

French company Technamm is delivering a second tranche of 35 VPS 2 special patrol vehicles for French SOF from May until the end of 2021.
VPS 2 is based on the Jankel Fox patrol vehicle with a modified Toyota 4x4 chassis. It is manufactured by Technamm under license in Aix-en-Provence and adapted for French requirements.
With VPS 2, for the first time, all French SOF units — commando parachutist unit CPA 10, the 1st Marine Parachute Regiment, the 13th Parachute Dragoon Regiment, Marine Commandos and the SOF HQ and signals company CCTFS — operate the same patrol vehicle.
