L3 Warrior Sensor Systems has received a contract to deliver its Binocular Night Vision Device (BNVD)-1531 to a Canadian government agency, the company announced on 5 March.
The BNVD-1531 night vision binocular provides a lightweight, ergonomic solution that brings together elements of the AN/PVS-31 and AN/PVS-15 night vision goggles.
The binocular uses high-performance Gen III image-intensification tubes, and incorporates features such as adjustable diopters, manual gain adjustment, individually rotating monoculars and an integrated infrared
illuminator, all of which enhance situational awareness, allowing operators to conduct missions more efficiently and effectively.
