Euronaval 2018: Nexter debuts RapidFire Naval
Nexter, partnered with Thales, showcased its RapidFire T40AA anti-air and anti-surface solution for naval vessels at Euronaval.
Based on the CTA International CTAS 40mm gun cannon the system has been developed leveraging Nexter’s experience with the French Army’s Jaguar programme which incorporates the same solution.
The aim, the company said, is to have a synergy between what the army and the navy use. In addition, because of the work on the cannon during the Jaguar programme, Nexter will be able to deliver a mature level of technology to potential customers.
The system will not have any deck penetration, will weight
