Endeavor, Howe and Howe partner on RCV programme
Endeavor Robotics has teamed with Howe and Howe Technologies as it positions itself to support the US Army’s Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) programme, the company announced on 29 October.
The companies will work together to bring a new unmanned version of Howe and Howe’s Ripsaw vehicle to the US Army, with Endeavor to serve as prime contractor. Phase 1 of the RCV programme is currently underway, with the army conducting initial experimentation using M113 armoured personnel carriers.
Endeavor will work with Howe and Howe to pursue Phase 2 of the RCV programme, which is expected to begin in 2019, with Ripsaw. The follow-on production phase is currently projected for the acquisition of up to 7,000 RCV systems.
