Heli-Lynx Signs Contract With LAG Aviation to Complete New AStar

22 February 2009 - 4:30 by the Shephard News Team

While they’ve become better known for their strength in STCs and in refurbishing older helicopters, Heli-Lynx reminded everyone of its strengths on the new aircraft completion side when it announced that LAG Aviation of Pittsburgh, Pa, had selected the company to complete LAG’s factory-new Eurocopter AS 350B2 AStar.

“Ken and Cherokee Walker of Cherokee Helicopters are customers of Heli-Lynx,” said Louis Grant of LAG. “They recommended we talk to Heli-Lynx when they heard we were looking for an aviation support company to complete our new ship.

We put Heli-Lynx on a short list with a couple of other completion centers, but after checking out what they had to offer and finding out what other customers think of their work and quality of service, the decision to go with them was the best for us, as well as being a practical and economical choice.”

LAG’s new B2 AStar will receive updated avionics, an ultra-plush interior, custom paint, and a host of other specialized options.

The company expects to take delivery at Heli-Lynx’s plant in Stoney Creek, Ont., later this year, and will put the ship into operation for corporate missions straight away. Said Heli-Lynx general manager Hoss Golanbari, “We’re always very proud and pleased when any prospective customer sees the value in utilizing Heli-Lynx’s services, but doubly so when that new customer came to us through a recommendation from an existing client. No matter what we do, whether it’s our maintenance, manufacturing, or completion services, we always focus on the needs of the customer... and it shows.”
